China July retail sales 699.8 bln yuan, up 16.4 pct yr-on-yr - Stats Bureau

BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - Retail sales in July rose 16.4 pct year-on-year to 699.8 bln yuan, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said in a statement.

In the first seven months to July, retail sales increased 15.5 pct from a year earlier to 4.904 trln yuan, the NBS added.

In June, retail sales rose 16 pct year-on-year to 702.6 bln yuan. Retail sales in the first half were up 15.4 pct at 4.204 trln yuan.
