MILAN (Thomson Financial) - Financier Romain Zaleski wants to become Intesa Sanpaolo SpA's largest shareholder, ahead of the Compagnia di Sanpaolo banking foundation, which has 7.96 pct of the bank, daily MF said in an unsourced report.According to the newspaper, Zaleski has options to raise his stake to slightly below 8 pct from 5.89 pct currently.On July 20, Carlo Tassara SpA, the company controlled by Zaleski, received clearance from the Bank of Italy to take its Intesa Sanpaolo stake to over 5 pct.
