Duncan Niederauer to be named CEO of NYSE Euronext: WSJ

SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - NYSE Euronext Inc. plans to name President and co-Chief Operating Officer Duncan Niederauer as as its new chief executive, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday, citing a person familiar with the matter.

John Thain, NYSE Euronext's current CEO, has agreed to take the CEO post at Merrill Lynch, the Journal reported.

Shares of NYSE Euronext fell 27 cents to $86.70
