HONG KONG (XFN-ASIA) - Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd said it is considering expanding its services to New York and San Francisco after it takes delivery of the first batch of Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in September.Chief executive Philip Chen said in a message in the February issue of Cathay's in-house magazine that the new aircraft 'will add an exciting new edge to our competitiveness and enable us to add new frequencies and flights.'He did not provide details on the proposed expansion of services between Hong Kong and the two US cities.Cathay currently operates two flights daily to New York and one daily flight to San Francisco from Hong Kong.A Cathay spokeswoman said 18 Being 777-300ER aircraft will joint the company's fleet in September.jun.concepcion@xfn.comjc/rc
