ATHENS (AFX) - Greek betting technology company Intralot's 45 pct-owned Turkish unit, Inteltek, is expected to win a temporary international tender to resume its betting operations in Turkey, sources close to the matter told Euro2day Newswire. Its operations were interrupted on March 1 after a decision by the Supreme Court in Ankara.Turkey's betting organization Spo Toto has called an international public tender to award the lottery for a year, the sources said.Inteltek, Scientific Games and GTech have all been sent application documentation with a very short deadline of 5 pm today, effectively meaning companies other than Inteltek are at a serious disadvantage, the sources added.Inteltek formerly won a tender run by the state betting organization Spor Toto to run its profitable fixed odds betting game Iddaa in the country, but the tender was ruled as unlawful procedurally by Turkish courts.Inteltek is also 55 pct-owned by US-listed Turkcell.Source: Euro2day.gr NewsWireskrekas@euro2day.grns/harCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
