Volvo sells Soerred Energi to Goeteborg Energi, makes 200 mln skr capital gain

STOCKHOLM (Thomson Financial) - AB Volvo unit Volvo Group Real Estate AB, said it is selling Soerred Energi AB to Goeteborg Energi AB for 279 mln skr, making a 200 mln skr capital gain.

The sale will be concluded at the beginning of June 2007, Volvo said.

Soerred Energi's operations involve providing energy, electricity networks, hot water, compressed air, water and sewage services, and its primary customers are Ford's Volvo Car Corporation and AB Volvo with subsidiaries.
