Aker Yards wins 1.4 bln nkr vessel deal from Solstad Offshore |

OSLO (Thomson Financial) - Aker Yards ASA said it has been awarded a contract by Solstad Offshore ASA for the construction of one platform supply vessel and one subsea construction and maintenance vessel, in a deal worth 1.4 bln nkr.Delivery of the platform supply vessel is scheduled for the second or third quarter of 2010, whilst that of the construction and maintenance vessel is scheduled for the first quarter of 2011.Aker Yards said the hulls of the vessels will be built at its yard in Romania, while outfitting will take place in Norway.The Norwegian shipbuilder added that Solstad has an option for up to two identical platform supply vessels.alastair.reed@thomson.comar/cm2COPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
