AMSTERDAM (Thomson Financial) - Amsterdam shares TFN market data at 10.26 am

MAJOR INDICES

AEX 504.18, down 0.84 pct

AMX Midcap 704.96, down 0.78 pct

Government bonds higher

MAJOR DECLINERS

-Hagemeyer down 2.22 pct at 3.52 eur

-ASML off by 2.28 pct at 20.53

-TomTom dipping 2.17 pct at 45.11

-Fortis down 1.53 pct at 26.39 amid news its consortium with Royal Bank of Scotland, Santander will not reduce its bid for ABN Amro despite ABN Amro's dividend

-ABN Amro meanwhile lost 0.99 pct to 34.08

-CSM sinks 4.41 pct to 26.00 as H1 results disappoint

-Boskalis off by 1.36 pct at 26.78; price target lifted to 34 eur earlier from 30 at AFS Brokers

-KPN flat at 11.32 eur after upgrade to 'buy' from Theodoor Gilissen

-Stork off by 0.50 pct at 48.10 after Marel increases its stake in the company to over 30 pct, causing analysts at Rabo to doubt the success of Candover's Stork takeover

MAJOR GAINERS

-Unilever up 1.79 pct at 21.61

-Numico 0.41 pct higher at 53.52

-Heineken 0.05 pct stronger at 43.40

-Van der Moolen up 0.26 pct at 3.81

-Vopak 0.36 pct higher at 39.57

-Aalberts Industries up 0.37 pct at 18.82 as H1 results are seen as in-line, but unsurprising, while some analysts are concerned about margins in the Flow Control segment
