BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - China will improve the overall competitiveness and structure of its capital markets, President Hu Jintao said.'China will improve the competitiveness of its banking, securities and insurance industries,' Hu said adding that it will 'improve the structure of capital markets and strengthen financial supervision and controls.'Speaking at the opening of the week-long 17th Party Congress, Hu said China will pursue innovation in managing overseas investment as well as improve the use of foreign investment at home.He also said the rules regulating market access will be more heavily scrutinized.'China needs to deepen reform of its investment system,' Hu said.
