PARIS (Thomson Financial) - Sanofi-Aventis said its vaccines unit, Sanofi Pasteur, has formed a partnership with Institut Pasteur, a major French health sciences laboratory, to develop a vaccine for malaria, a disease for which there is currently none.The project will parallel efforts by others, including one by Oxford University and several partners, to develop an effective vaccine for the disease, which affects 500 mln people per year, of which 1 mln people die.tfn.paris@thomson.commjs/bsdCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
