StatoilHydro says production starts at US Gulf of Mexico deepwater field |

OSLO (Thomson Financial) - Norwegian oil and gas producer StatoilHydro said its first deepwater field in the US Gulf Of Mexico has begun production.StatoilHydro, which is operator with a 50 pct interest, said the field began production on Oct 11.The natural gas field is located in the Mississippi Canyon block 961.The group says that with production from the Q field, StatoilHydro's gas production in the US Gulf of Mexico is expected to grow by 40 pct in terms of volume.Total expected production from the Gulf of Mexico after the 'Q' field achieves maximum output was not given with the statement.patrick.mcloughlin@thomson.compm/lamCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
