RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Raytheon said Monday it will collaborate with network equipment maker Cisco Systems on a wide-area communications network for emergency responders and military personnel.The interoperable system will allow users to communicate and share information across a wide area and over a variety of electronic devices, including cell phones, hand-held radios and computers.Raytheon's JPS Communications subsidiary is expected to provide hardware for the project while Cisco will design the communications network.Shares of Raytheon Co. fell 45 cents Monday to $64.61 in midday trading while Cisco Systems Inc. fell 35 cents to $32.57.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
