AmTrust Financial OKs repurchase of up to 3M common shares

SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - AmTrust Financial Services Inc. said Thursday it has authorized the repurchase of up to 3 million shares of common stock.

The New York-based company provides specialty property and casualty insurance.

Amtrust shares rose 9 cents to $12.94.
