NEW YORK (AP) - Swedish wireless equipment maker LM Ericsson said Thursday it will acquire Mobeon AB, a supplier of Internet Protocol-based voice and video mail.Financial terms were not disclosed.Ericsson, which already owned a 21 percent stake of Mobeon, said the deal is part of its strategy to boost its multimedia offerings.'Voicemail is one of the most used messaging services by consumers and Mobeon is bringing us the latest IP generation messaging system prepared for both voice and video mail,' Jan Wareby, Ericsson senior vice president, said in a statement.Ericsson's U.S.-listed shares fell 2 cents to $35.26 in morning trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
