China to build TD-SCDMA trial network in Shenzhen - report |

BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - China will build a trial network for the TD-SCDMA mobile platform in Shenzhen, headquarters to many mobile equipment companies, with an estimated investment of over 5 mln yuan, the China Business News reported, citing sources.An official with the TD-SCDMA Industry Alliance was quoted as saying that the trial network is similar to a network built in Hong Kong in November by China Datang Mobile, in cooperation with the HongKong Wireless Technology Industry Association (WTIA).According to the official, the industry alliance will provide manufacturers in Shenzhen with TD-SCDMA technology in a bid to make more suppliers adopt TD-SCDMA.(1 usd = 7.8 yuan)susan.wang@xfn.com
