PT may launch counter bid for Sonaecom - Bava

LISBON (AFX) - Portugal Telecom SGPS may launch a counter bid for Sonaecom SGPS if Sonaecom's bid for PT fails, Jornal de Negocios reported citing Zeinal Bava, PT Multimedia chairman and PT vice-chairman.

Bava told the business daily that PT is studying all possibilities in case Sonaecom's bid fails, and these would include the possibility of a counter bid.
