Altana Chemie confirms FY sales and EBITDA outlook |

FRANKFURT (AFX) - Altana AG said it still expects 2006 full-year sales for its chemicals unit, Altana Chemie, to increase by about 40 pct to more than 1.25 bln from 907 mln eur the year before.Altana Chemie, the remaining unit after the sale of Altana's pharma business, also confirmed during a presentation at the German Corporate Conference, in Frankfurt, it expects full-year EBITDA to expand in line with sales growth.The unit said it expects average annual sales growth of more than 10 pct and is aiming to achieve an EBITDA margin of around 18-20 pct.Altana Chemie also plans to expand its presence in North America, Asia and emerging markets.Preparations for the new corporate structure are 'on track' after the closure of the sale of the pharmaceuticals business to Danish drugmaker Nycomed Holding AS for 4.6 bln eur, the company said.krysia.diver@afxnews.comkd/wjCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2006.
