AMSTERDAM (AFX) - Shares in Amsterdam closed near their highs led by heavyweight oil stocks, following a quiet session as Wall Street closed down for Martin Luther King day, dealers said.The AEX closed up 2.54 points or 0.0.51 pct at 505.38, after opening at 504.88 and reaching a high of 506.11.Government bonds traded mixed to higher, while the euro stood at 1.2937 usd compared with 1.2929 usd late Friday.amsterdam@thomson.comcmm/icCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2006.
