BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - China imported 54.46 mln tons of crude oil in the four months to April period, up 10.8 pct year-on-year, the General Administration of Customs said.April crude imports totaled 14.82 mln tons, it said. No comparative figure was given.China imported 11.62 mln tons of oil products in the first four months, up 4.1 pct from a year earlier, while April imports totaled 3.64 mln tons, it said.Crude oil exports was down 55.4 pct at 1.07 mln tons of crude oil in the first four months with April exports stood at 550,000 tons.Oil product exports rose 25 pct to 5.25 mln tons in the January-April period with April exports stood at 1.42 mln tons.Steel product imports were down 6.1 pct at 5.9 mln tons in the period with April imports at 1.63 mln tons.Steel product exports rose 132 pct year-on-year to 21.28 mln tons in the first four months with April exports at 7.16 tons.China imported 133.55 mln tons of iron ore in the four months, up 23.3 pct, while April imports hit 33.37 mln tons, it said.China exported 15.87 mln tons of coal in the first four months, down 28.6 pct from a year ago, while April exports stood at 4.46 mln tons. No comparative figures were given.Coke exports rose 22.1 pct to 5.13 mln tons in the four months to April, customs said.China also imported 68 aircraft in the January to April period, down 33.3 pct year-on-year.Auto imports were up 15.8 pct at 82,430 units, it added.kelly.zang@xfn.com
