Azure Dynamics enters deal with FedEx to develop hybrid-electric power-train |

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Azure Dynamics Corp said it has signed agreements with FedEx Express, a unit of FedEx Corp, to develop gasoline parallel hybrid-electric power-trains for their delivery fleet. No financial terms were disclosed.The electric power-trains maker said it will supply a hybrid-electric test vehicle to FedEx Express for the Ford E-450 hybrid commercial delivery van development programme under the terms of the agreement.Following the completion of the development phase, FedEx has agreed to buy 20 pre-production parallel hybrid-electric Ford E-450 delivery vans to be delivered in 2008, Azure added.TFN.newsdesk@thomson.comukn/ms1COPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
