ADP June passenger traffic up 3.9 pct year-on-year |

PARIS (Thomson Financial) - ADP (Aeroports de Paris) said passenger numbers through its two airports rose 3.9 pct to 7.7 mln in June from a year earlier.In a statement, the airport operator said passenger numbers rose 4.2 pct to 5.3 mln at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport and 3.2 pct to 2.4 mln at Orly.The number of people flying to European destinations rose 5.1 pct, while the number of passengers on flights to the UK and Ireland was more or less stable, declining just 0.1 pct year-on-year.Domestic passenger traffic fell 1.8 pct, ADP said.Outside Europe, traffic rose 6.3 pct, led by Africa, up 11.6 pct, and Asia and the Middle East which saw 4.8 pct growth in passenger traffic.Traffic on routes to North and Latin America rose 3.9 pct.In the six months to end-June, combined throughput at the two airports rose 4.4 pct to 41.50 mln passengers.vicky.buffery@thomson.comvb/lamCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
