LONDON (Thomson Financial) - AIM-listed Minera IRL Ltd said its operation at Corihuarmi, south-east of Lima, was not affected by the powerful earthquake south of Peru's capital city.'Everyone at the operation is fine,' said chairman Courtney Chamberlain in an interview with Thomson Financial News. 'We are still on track to start production early in 2008.'He added that the project, which is 160 kilometres south-east of Lima, is quite a way from the earthquake's epicentre.About 150 construction workers are on site and the operation is 'powering ahead,' he said.The official death toll from the earthquake has climbed to 115, with more than 1,000 people injured, said Peru's health minister Carlos Vallejos.julie.crust@thomson.comjc/cm2COPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
