WARSAW (Thomson Financial) - Poland's budget showed a 615 mln zlotys surplus at the end of July compared to a planned 16 bln deficit as booming economy fuelled inflows to state coffers and the government spent less than anticipated, deputy finance ministry said.Elzbieta Suchocka-Roguska told Thomson Financial News the budget should also show a surplus after August and the 2007 deficit could reach 26-27 bln zlotys compared to 30 bln zlotys seen in a full-year plan.'We estimate that after July we had a surplus of 615 mln zlotys because the revenues came in 9 bln zlotys higher than planned and unrealised government spending worth several bln zlotys,' Suchocka-Roguska said in a telephone interview.'The surplus should stay after August, but is unlikely to be as high as after July,' she added. 'In the remaining part of the year we expect spending to pick up substantially so in the year as a whole we estimate the deficit to reach 26-27 bln zlotys.'pawel.sobczak@thomson.com +48 22 447 2430ps2/rfwCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
