FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) - Deutsche Post World Net AG is maintaining its forecast of returning to profitability in its US express operations at the end of 2009, chief executive Klaus Zumwinkel told Die Welt.He also said that Deutsche Post will continue not to publish its results broken down by regions and countries, a major point of criticism from investors.Zumwinkel said Deutsche Post will outline its dividend policies as well as a catalogue of measures to make its divisions more comparable to peers on Nov 8.He said that the biggest burden weighing on Deutsche Post's share price, the uncertainty over future prospects of its mail business, will be removed next year.Zumwinkel reiterated he will remain in office until the end of 2008, when his contracts ends.Meanwhile, speaking to Sueddeutsche Zeitung, Zumwinkel announced attacks on Deutsche Post's new competitors in its German mail operations by creating new products. He said Deutsche Post is considering creating a division targeting lucrative corporate customers with special offers, following an example set by the Dutch post.frederik.richter@thomson.comfr1/jfrCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
