SEATTLE (AP) - Boeing Co. said Tuesday it got an order from Indian carrier Jet Airways for 20 737-800 aircraft.The deal is worth $1.5 billion at list prices, Boeing said. Airlines, however, often negotiate hefty discounts.Mumbai-based Jet Airways, which launched service in 1993, already operates 50 Boeing 737s. It offers about 340 daily flights within India and to a handful of Asian and Western countries.The short to medium-range 737 is Boeing's best-selling airplane. Next-generation models, beginning with the 737-600 series, have features that are designed to cut fuel costs, extend the plane's range and hauling capacity, and reduce maintenance costs.As of Sept. 30, Boeing said it has unfilled orders of 1,800 737s worth more than $125 billion at list prices.Boeing shares fell 35 cents to $94.48 in premarket trading.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
