PITTSBURGH (AP) - Coatings, glass and chemicals maker PPG Industries Inc. said Tuesday it has acquired certain assets of Coatings Resource Corp. for undisclosed terms.PPG's acquisition of the Huntington Beach, Calif.-based coating maker does not include its manufacturing plant, although PPG said the plant will manufacture products for PPG for the foreseeable future. The plant employs about 30 people.The acquisition expands PPG's business into key markets and broadens its environmentally friendly product offerings, the company said in a statement.PPG shares added 54 cents to $78.52 in morning trading.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
