NEW YORK (AP) - TV channel operator Gemstar-TV Guide International Inc. subsidiary TVG, a horse racing network, on Thursday said it ended negotiations with Churchill Downs Inc. to extend its television and deposit wagering contract.TVG and Churchill Downs collaborated for 10 years. The network said it is reallocating its television programing, production and promotional resources and its advance deposit wagering contributions to other racetracks and horsemen throughout the U.S.TVG said over the past two years Churchill Downs has sold or agreed to sell three horse racing parks and thus TVG subscribers' wagering on Churchill Down-owned tracks has fallen 30 percent to less than 13 percent, including wagering on Kentucky Derby day.TVG will begin instead to offering programing via other racetracks such as Kentucky's Keeneland Racecourse and others.Churchill Downs could not immediately be reached.Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
