NEW YORK (AP) - Electronic futures market InterContinental Exchange Inc. said Friday its New York Board of Trade unit saw its electronic soft commodity futures trading hit a new high of 94,539 contracts on Thursday.The total represents more than 36 percent of overall daily futures volume in the listed products, ICE said in a statement.The board's Sugar No. 11 futures trading on InterContinental also set an electronic record of 64,230 contract, or approximately 40 percent of total futures volume.Thursday's electronics trading volume record tops the prior record of 86,115 contracts set on Tuesday.Shares of InterContinental fell $1.27 to $153.81 in morning trading on the New York Stock Exchange.Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
