Gilead drug gets FDA priority review |

FOSTER CITY, Calif. (AP) - Gilead Sciences Inc. said Friday the Food and Drug Administration granted priority review status to its application for drug candidate ambrisentan.The drug is aimed at treating pulmonary arterial hypertension. Priority review means the FDA will review the marketing application within six months. The target review date for the drug is June 18, Gilead said.Shares of Gilead fell 13 cents to close at $72.06 on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange.Copyright 2006 Associated Press. All rights reserved.
