HONG KONG (XFN-ASIA) - The Hong Kong stock exchange expects yuan-denominated bonds to be listed on the exchange in future, the Wall Street Journal cited the bourse's chairman Ronald Arculli as saying.Arculli said yuan-denominated bonds should be listed on the local bourse to make them accessible to retail investors.Separately, he said that Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Ltd (HKEx), which operates the local bourse, has been asked by various parties to buy small stakes of about 5 pct in other stock exchanges in the region. But HKEx has taken a view that such small stakes are of little strategic value, he said.He added that logistical problems make it difficult for the local bourse to forge partnerships with other stock exchanges in the region.jun.concepcion@xfn.com
