STOCKHOLM (AFX) - Lundin Mining said it will invest 1.955 mln cad in Canadian mining group Mantle Resources through a private placement, subject to regulatory approval.Since Nov 2006, Lundin Mining has held 9-10 pct of the shares in Mantle Resources, and since Mantle has recently issued more shares, this figure remains little changed after the new investment, Lundin Mining's IR manager Catarina Ihre told AFX News.Ihre said the investment will help Mantle Resources continue its ongoing exploration project in British Columbia, Canada, adding that the investment is not very big and has 'more of a symbolic value'.gustav.sandstrom@thomson.comgs/jsaCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
