Serco wins 85 mln stg contract to run immigration centre for Home Office |

LONDON (AFX) - Serco Group plc said that it has signed a contract to manage and operate Yarl's Wood immigration removal centre on behalf of the UK Home Office, worth around 85 mln stg over eight years.The contract will start in April 2007 for an initial period of three years, with optional extensions up to eight years.Yarl's Wood is an immigration removal centre run on behalf of the Home Office's Immigration and Nationality Directorate, with an operational capacity of 405, holding a mixture of single females and families, said services firm Serco.newsdesk@afxnews.comroCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2006.
