LONDON (AFX) - BP PLC has assured it will carry out the recommendations of the Baker panel that found 'material deficiencies' at its refinery operations in the US that led to the fatal explosion in 2005.'BP will implement the recommendations made by an independent safety review panel as part of the company's continuing effort to improve its safety culture and to strengthen and standardize process safety management at BP's five US refineries,' the group said in a statement.Lord Browne, the chief executive of the oil giant, said the panel's recommendations were consistent with the findings of the group's own internal reviews.monicca.egoy@thomson.commbe/ksCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2006.
