MILAN (Thomson Financial) - Advertising spending in Italy fell 1.1 pct in the first three months of 2007 to 2.174 bln eur from 2.199 bln a year earlier, according to a survey by Nielsen Media Research.Advertising on television fell 4.7 pct to 1.259 bln eur from 1.322 bln, it said, while advertising in the written press rose 5.1 pct to 704.5 mln from 670.7 mln.Advertising on radio fell 3.5 pct to 100.6 mln eur from 104.2 mln.Meanwhile, internet advertising rose 44.2 pct to 56.0 mln eur from 38.9 mln, billboard advertising fell 14.2 pct to 40.8 mln from 47.6 mln and advertising in cinemas dropped 20.7 pct to 13.1 mln from 16.5 mln.philip.webster@thomson.compw/ejpCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
