Pop superstar Kylie Minogue received a most endearing get-well gift from the team of Little Britain – a DVD copy of this comedy’s third series which will premiere on British television this week.
The diminutive Australian star who is undergoing treatment for breast cancer in Paris, is a huge fan of the series. The comedy has been a huge hit not only in the UK but also in Australia.
For its creators Matt Lucas and David Walliams, the fact that Kylie loves the Little Britain show “meant a lot to us”. Walliams who plays a number of roles in the series said he knew Kylie needed something that would “raise her spirits”. He sent the superstar a DVD copy of the third series.
Kylie will be the first person to see the series which is slated for telecast on BBC One tomorrow night at 9.
The series is regarded as the hottest comedy in the UK and both its creators Walliams and Lucas have been honoured with waxwork dummies in the famed Madame Tussaud’s wax museum. Little Britain Dolls, sold in stores are quite the rage among children. The Little Britain duo have also won a series of awards and a tribute act titled ‘Littler Britain’.
