MUMBAI (Thomson Financial) - Moody's Investors Service said it has assigned Bank Central Asia 'Aaa' long-term deposit and issuer national scale ratings. It attributed the rating to the bank's strength and competitive advantage as the largest bills payment and settlement bank in the Indonesian system.Moody's said the ratings are supported by the bank's economies of scale, focused strategy on leveraging and protecting its transactional banking capability, relatively strong financial fundamentals, and liquid balance sheet. The bank's 'Ba3' issuer and 'B2' foreign currency long-term deposit ratings are on review for a possible upgrade, Moody's added. The outlook is stable.Bank Central Asia is Indonesia's largest private bank, controlling 12 pct of system deposits.TFN.newsdesk@thomson.comrku/jroCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
