AMSTERDAM (Thomson Financial) - The AEX traded higher amid relatively low trading volumes, pushed up by financials and with investors eyeing a higher close on Wall Street last night, an Amsterdam-based trader said.MAJOR INDICESAEX 488.78, up 1.80 pointsAMX midcap 677.91, up 0.58 pointsGovernment bonds higherMAJOR GAINERS-Unibail-Rodamco led gainers, adding 3.26 pct to 166.76 eur-Financials helped the AEX recovery. ABN Amro rose 1.88 pct to 32.45 eur, ING added 0.71 pct to 28.55, Aegon put on 0.94 pct to 12.86 and Fortis added 1.02 pct to 12.87 eur.-Staffing shares recovered from big losses yesterday.
