PARIS (Thomson Financial) - French state railroad SNCF plans to slash travel times on its high-speed TGV routes to capture domestic markets dominated by Air France-KLM unit Air France, the daily Le Figaro said, citing an internal SNCF document.The plans involve raising normal cruising speeds to 350-360 km/hr from 300-320, after initial tests proved positive.Travel time by TGV between Paris and Bordeaux, where Air France has a 32 pct market share, would be cut to two hours from three, and travel time between Paris and Toulouse, where Air France has an 80 pct market share, would be cut to three hours from five.tfn.paris@thomson.commjs/hjpCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
