LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Publishing company Reed Elsevier PLC said its performance so far this year is in line with its expectations and market conditions are generally favourable.The company added that it is on track to meet its financial goal for a minimum 10 pct adjusted earnings per share growth at constant currencies.In a statement ahead of its AGM, the company said its Science & Technology and Health Sciences divisions journal subscription renewals are strong, online sales are progressing well and book publishing is expanding.Reed Elsevier said it expects good growth from new publishing and backlist sales at Health Sciences, and this will be reflected in the second half.For its information services provider unit LexisNexis, Reed Elsevier said it has made a good start to the year, with good revenue momentum seen across the business.On the sale of its Harcourt Education business, the company said the sale process is proceeding satisfactorily and it expects to complete the disposal during the second half of 2007.TFN.newsdesk@thomson.comkkb/cmlCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
