MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AFX) - Auto parts retailer AutoZone Inc. said Wednesday Brad Bacon, executive vice president of retail/commercial operations, resigned effective Jan. 30.Bacon, who joined the company in 2003, will be succeeded by Bob Olsen, currently executive vice president of supply chain, information technology, Mexico and store development. Olsen will retain responsibility for the company's Mexico operations.Jim Shea, current executive VP of merchandising and marketing, will assume added supply chain responsibilities, and Chief Financial Officer Bill Giles will now also be responsible for information technology and store development.AutoZone sells auto and light truck parts, chemicals and accessories through about 3,800 stores in the U.S., the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico and Mexico.Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
