LONDON (AFX) - Mecom Group PLC, a pan-European newspaper publisher, said that, following a series of recent institutional presentations initiated by Mecom and its brokers, it has agreed an offer for Orkla ASA's shareholding in the company.Orkla's shareholding comprises some 146 million shares which have today been placed by Cenkos Securities and Numis Securities at 68 pence per share with new institutional investors and a number of existing shareholders.As a result of the placing Orkla's representative director on the board of Mecom, Roar Engeland, will resign from the board.newsdesk@afxnews.comslmCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2006.
