FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) - German shares TFN market data at 10.55 amDAX - up 10.66 points, or 0.13 pct, at 7,996.07MDAX - down 5.76 points, or 0.05 pct, at 10,658.65TecDAX - down 3.84 points, or 0.38 pct, at 1,012.04DAX futures - down 1.50 points, or 0.02 pct, at 8,054.00Major Risers:-MAN, up 6.64 eur, or 5.57 pct, at 125.85, after a newspaper report said Sweden's Scania AB is preparing to launch a bid for the German heavy trucks manufacturer.-Volkswagen, up 5.22 eur, or 3.00 pct, at 179.30, due to the same article as VW owns an approximately 30 pct stake in MAN and VW supervisory board chairman Ferdinand Piech reportedly played a crucial role in hammering out a deal.-Henkel, up 0.41 eur, or 1.17 pct, at 35.58, rebounding from two days of losses-Bayer, up 0.60 eur, or 1.02 pct, at 59.44, continuing the stock's long-term outperformance-Adidas, up 0.43 eur, or 0.98 pct at 44.34, as traders pointed to the lasting effects of an announcement on Monday that the sporting equipment manufacturer might launch a share buyback programme in the futureMajor Decliners:-SAP, down 0.61 eur, or 1.54 pct, at 38.99, for several reasons after release of Q3 results including: unfulfilled expectations that the companywould raise full-year guidance, a lack of information about its planned purchaseof French peer Business Objects and an anticipated stagnation of sales in thefourth quarter.-Deutsche Postbank, down 0.55 eur, or 1.4 pct, at 52.35-ThyssenKrupp, down 0.41 eur, or 0.95 pct, at 42.87, which traders attributed to lasting technical trading reason as the shares have encountered key resistance levels-Siemens, down 0.91 eur, or 0.97 pct, at 92.65-Hypo Real Estate, down 0.24 eur, or 0.55 pct, at 43.78, correcting from gains yesterday due to Morgan Stanley initiating coverage on the bank with an 'overweight' rating and a price target or 63 eur per share.
