LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Northern Lion Gold Corp said it will start an 8,000 metre diamond drill program on its 100 pct-owned Moura and 95 pct-owned Cercal licenses, located in southern Portugal. The company said the drilling will focus initially on the Preguica deposit, located within the Moura license, where geological estimate of 1.3 mln tonnes averaging 7 pct zinc and 1.5 pct lead using a 3 pct zinc cutoff were outlined by the Portuguese government. The company further added a second drill rig is expected to arrive later in November, which will allow it to follow-up on initial drill results and continue to test new targets being generated through ongoing exploration on the ground.tfn.newsdesk@thomson.compvi/jlcCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
