Erie slots hours expanded on weekends

ERIE, Pa. (AP) - Presque Isle Downs & Casino is expanding the hours of its slot machine casino on weekends to respond to customer demand, casino officials said.

The casino has been operating from 9 a.m. until 4 a.m. seven days a week. But on Fridays and Saturdays the casino will now remain open from 9 a.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning.

The new hours begin Friday.

'We are constantly trying to meet the needs and interests of our customers, and we are pleased to offer extended hours to satisfy those demands,' said Ted Arneault, CEO of MTR Gaming Group Inc., the West Virginia firm that owns the casino.
