CAS Medical taps COO Kersey as CEO

BRANFORD, Conn. (AFX) - Diagnostic and medical products maker CAS Medical Systems Inc. said Wednesday named chief operating officer Andrew E. Kersey to succeed Louis P. Scheps as president and chief executive, who is retiring from the posts April 1.

Kersey has been with the company since 2001, working as the director of engineering before taking the COO position.

Scheps has been chief executive since 1990. He will remain chairman of the board of directors.

Shares of CAS Medical were unchanged at $8.17 in morning trading on the Nasdaq.
