Performance Tech taps permanent CEO |

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AFX) - Performance Technologies Inc., which makes parts for telecommunications and data devices, said Wednesday it named John M. Slusser president and chief executive.Slusser, 54, has been serving as interim president and CEO since October, when Michael P. Skarzynski resigned from the positions. Slusser previously served as president and CEO from 1986 to 1995 and has been a director at the company since its founding in 1981. He's served as chairman since 2001, a position he will retain.The company also named John J. Grana, 51, senior vice president and general manager of the company's embedded systems group. He previously served as senior vice president of systems engineering.J. Patrick Rice, 47, was named vice president of worldwide signaling sales and marketing.Shares of Performance Technologies rose 8 cents to $5.90 on the Nasdaq in afternoon trading.Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
