LONDON (AFX) - BBA Aviation PLC said its chairman Roberto Quarta has decided to step down, following its demerger from materials division Fiberweb.BBA said chief executive Michael Harper has temporarily assumed the role of executive chairman and will become non-executive chairman when a new chief executive is appointed.BBA Aviation was formerly part of BBA Group, but, following the demerger of Fiberweb in November 2006, it became a stand-alone aviation services business.The firm provides flight support services for corporate and commercial aviation customers as well as maintenance, repair, overhaul and spare parts for aircraft engines.
