RPT Copiepresse begins legal proceedings vs Yahoo, after Google, Microsoft

BRUSSELS (AFX) - Belgian editors' group Copiepresse has begun legal proceedings against internet services group Yahoo, Inc., following similar action taken last year against Microsoft and Google, said the group's lawyer.

'We sent a letter of formal notice to Yahoo yesterday' in order to stop them featuring articles from Belgian newspapers on its search engine without prior authorisation, Bernard Magrez, lawyer for Copiepresse, told AFP.
