MILAN (Thomson Financial) - Advertising spending in Italy fell 0.1 pct in the first four months of 2007 to 2.978 bln eur from 2.981 bln a year earlier, according to a survey by Nielsen Media Research.Advertising on television fell 2.9 pct to 1.689 bln eur from 1.739 bln, it said, while advertising in the written press rose 3.3 pct to 986.7 mln from 955.3 mln.Advertising on radio rose 1.7 pct to 145.6 mln eur from 143.2 mln.Meanwhile, internet advertising rose 42.5 pct to 77.7 mln eur from 54.5 mln, billboard advertising fell 11.1 pct to 59.7 mln from 67.2 mln and advertising in cinemas dropped 11.5 pct to 19.3 mln from 21.8 mln.philip.webster@thomson.compw/dcaCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
