LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Albidon Limited said it has intersected significant uranium mineralisation through drilling at the Gwabe prospect in Zambia. The company said results from an initial 25-hole reconnaissance programme confirm the presence of uranium mineralisation that may be amenable to open-pit mining. The company added that assay results for approximately 90 infill holes from Gwabe are expected in August.Assay results from the Chisebuka uranium prospect are also expected in August and drilling is planned to start near the end of September. At the Namakande uranium prospect, reconnaissance work has started which is aimed at prioritising drill targets for assessment in December.Albidon's joint venture partner at Gwabe is African Energy Resources Limited.kathy.sandler@thomson.comksCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
